Following the new for 2016
training format, Impey were delighted to welcome 20 attendees to Hillsborough
Stadium in Sheffield, including specifiers, showroom owners and predominantly
installers for the latest date in the #wearewetrooms
training tour led by Impey’s ‘Technical Manager’ Shaun Hunt.
Experience levels within the
group varied between those who have fitted Impey products before, and those who
have never previously fitted a wetroom, looking to increase their confidence in
the concept of a wetroom, or simply wishing to find out more about the range of
solutions on offer from Impey and why we’re considered the installers choice.
As well as most attendees identifying themselves as plumbers or bathroom
specialists, we are seeing a noticeable increase in the number of tilers
attending, with another 2 or 3 at Sheffield looking to add wetroom systems to
their repertoire.
In what appears to be a
running theme, our waterproofing membrane ‘WaterGuard’ dominated discussions
during tea breaks, with attendees immediately seeing the benefits of the leak
free solution, including the fact that no drying time is required and the peace
of mind of the lifetime guarantee. Particularly impressed by WaterGuard, was
Robert Adamson who runs R&K Installations alongside the showroom at Mobile
Country Bathrooms, www.mobilecountrybathrooms.co.uk.
During the
practical demonstrations after lunch (supplied by the brilliant catering team
at Sheffield Wednesday FC), the growing consensus that our products can save
days in installation time came to fruition. One attendee claimed a previous
wetroom effort with a competitor product took up to two weeks including tiling.
Many have still not before seen the 360° rotating waste of the ‘Aqua-Dec EasyFit’
avoiding obstacles such as joists or pipework, saving both time and money when
potentially calling out gas or electrical engineers.
Impey are looking forward to
the next date of the tour, where we will welcome attendees in Scotland to
Celtic Park in Glasgow on the 14th of September to be educated in
the world of wetrooms.
