Impey returns from Brighton after the CIH SE Conference
Impey Showers have returned from the CIH SE conference with a list of new key contacts and a positive outlook on what lies ahead.
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation which has been around for almost 100 years and exists to create decent, affordable homes for people within a safe community.
Their members consist of over 22,000 professionals working in the private and public sector all over the world.
This years’ south east conference was held in Brighton from 6th – 8th March and attracted over 1000 visitors including Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Developers, Surveyors and Architects.
The conference covered current policy and provided government updates on subjects such as housing law, funding cuts and how to engage with young tenants whilst giving delegates the chance to discuss best practices and gather information from a broad range of exhibitors and services.
Damien McKeaveney is Impey’s National Sales Manager and said
‘The CIH conference represents an important date in the calendar for Impey as it offers an excellent opportunity for us to meet with key industry figures and find out more about what they are looking for from the specialist showering market’.
Key service provider
A key service available from Impey Showers is its Supply Chain Alliance.
This is effectively a non-binding agreement that can help customers to ensure the most cost effective and efficient completion of a project. Impey can offer excellent rates for the term of a contract with agreed deliveries, dedicated account management and even on-site surveyor support and technical assistance.
Another area that Impey Showers keenly supports is the governments ‘Lifetime Homes’ programme which aims to ensure that all public and private sector housing is built/designed to allow residents to remain independent for as long as possible – reducing the need and associated costs of re-housing.
Impey’s innovative wetroom products allow developers and architects to incorporate level-access wetroom shower facilities into the structure of a building during its initial construction. A bath can then be installed directly over the top and the waste outlet connected to the wetroom floor drainage system, which allows easy conversion back to a level access facility as and when required, at minimal cost.
‘Planning for the future and age-proofing housing stock is a key element of the government’s agenda and Impey Showers are pleased to be part of that programme’
Jill Dyson, Impey’s Commercial Manager for the Healthcare market.
